Discouragements can lead to victory

Current world events should come as no surprise to believers. After all, God’s Word tells us that in the last days, perilous times will come. However, the realities of our circumstances can shake what we believe and stand for, even for us who are in full-time ministry.

It was God’s perfect timing for us to hold the Rest and Relax for Pastors and Workers last month, which was also our first official camp program this year.

We thank God for our missionaries and speakers from different parts of the world who encouraged us to present our bodies as a living sacrifice to God. By God’s grace, we can turn around our current circumstances to tell the world of the hope that we have through the finished work of Jesus Christ.

We were also blessed to find mutual encouragement from pastors and workers who joined us. Our students also grabbed the opportunity to listen and be inspired by their ministry experiences.

After two years, Philippine guidelines finally allow us to welcome children, senior citizens, and guests from different countries once more. We are looking forward to how God will use WOL Philippines this year through the camping ministry!

We are called to be Christ’s ambassadors wherever we go, whether we serve in full-time ministry, secular workplaces, schools, or homes. Despite discouragements from the world and our personal lives, we have hope beyond this life. May we be driven to share this hope with those who have yet to hear and receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
